Lega Serie A will announce the fixtures for the 2026-27 campaign today during the Festival della Serie A at the Teatro Regio in Parma.
Dates and kick-off times will be announced in the coming weeks, but Serie A fans can get their first glimpse of the new season, which is scheduled to start on the weekend of August 23, 2026 and end on May 30, 2027.
The only two midweek rounds are scheduled for October 28 and Wednesday, January 6, 2027, while there will be no games on the weekend of December 27. The four international breaks are scheduled for September 27, October 4, November 15, and March 28.

2026-27 Serie A fixture release – where to watch live
The Serie A fixture release will be streamed live by the Lega Serie A YouTube channel and Radio Tv Serie A, starting at 18:30 CET (17:30 BST).
Football Italia will provide live updates via a liveblog.
On Thursday, Lega Serie A announced a multi-year partnership with Fastbreak AI “to deliver a smarter, more efficient season structure that better accounts for club needs and preferences while optimising the placement of marquee matchups throughout the calendar.”
Monza, Frosinone and Venezia have earned promotion to Serie A, while Pisa, Verona and Cremonese dropped to Serie B in 2025-26.
2026-27 Serie A fixture release criteria*
Starting from the 2026/2027 Season, September and October FIFA international windows will be merged into a single break with four dates for international matches. Consequently, Serie A will be suspended on Sunday 27 September 2026 and Sunday 4 October 2026.
ASYMMETRY: The order of matches in the first leg will differ from the second leg.
8 MATCHDAYS: A minimum interval of eight matchdays separating home and away fixtures against the same opponent will be guaranteed.

MIDWEEK ROUNDS: Two midweek rounds are scheduled in the 2026/2027 Serie A Season: MD 9 (28 October) and MD 18 (6 January).
DERBIES: All derby fixtures will be scheduled on different matchdays and will not take place on MD 1, MD 9 (midweek round), nor MD 38.
MATCHES BETWEEN CLUBS PARTICIPATING IN UEFA COMPETITIONS: Clubs participating in the UEFA Champions League will not face Clubs participating in the UEFA Europa League or UEFA Europa Conference League on MD 7, 21, 25, 28, 31 and 34, as these fall between UEFA “back-to-back” matchdays. This restriction also applies to MD 4 for Clubs participating in the UEFA Europa League only.
HOME AND AWAY ALTERNATION: Mandatory alternation of home and away matches will apply to the following pairs of Clubs: INTER-MILAN, LAZIO-ROMA, JUVENTUS-TORINO.
